The Mercury Marine High Performance Gear Lube 8oz Tube #92-802851K01 is designed for use in the gear housings of outboard engines with 75HP and above, including Mercury, Mariner, and Force models. It is important to note that this gear lube should not be mixed with Premium gear lube or any other lubricants, as it may have an adverse effect on the gear life.

Mercury's Premium+ gear lube is an exclusive formulation engineered to provide excellent lubrication and corrosion protection to the lower unit gears in high or low horsepower engines under varying operating conditions. This gear lube contains improved emulsifiers to help protect the gear housings, as well as tackifiers to improve the oil film adhesion to the gears and internal components. Additionally, the gear lube includes additives to protect the gears from metal-to-metal contact and excessive wear.

To ensure the longevity and performance of your outboard engine, it is recommended to change the gear lube at least once per year or after every 100 hours of operation under normal use. For salt water applications, the gear lube should be changed every 50 hours.
