High Performance Gear Lube for Mercury Lubricants

Engineered to provide maximum protection for sterndrive and Outboard lower units, the exclusive formula of this product is designed to offer extended gear life even in extreme conditions, including high-speed and high-horsepower applications. Extensively tested, it offers excellent protection against corrosion and excessive wear, and is specifically formulated to help prevent failures due to water entering the gear housing.

Extreme pressure synthetic additives protect the gears from metal-to-metal contact, as there are no industry-wide standards concerning marine gear oils. It is essential to use products such as Mercury high-performance gear Lube, which has been specifically designed and tested for marine applications. Note: do not mix this product with Mercury premium gear Lube.

This gear Lube provides warranty protection for all Mercury mercruiser sterndrive and Mercury, Mariner, and Force Outboard lower units. Mercury recommends changing the gear Lube at least once per year (prior to storage) or every 100 hours of operation, as specified in the owner's manual.

The advanced emulsifiers in this gear Lube prevent foaming to protect the gears if water enters the gear housing, while the tackifiers and extreme pressure additives improve oil film adhesion and protect against excessive wear. This product is suitable for use in all outboard lower units, jet pumps, and Sport JETS, as well as all Mercury mercruiser sterndrives, and it meets the API GL-4 standard.
